This matter comes before the Court upon Defendants’ Motion to Set Aside the Verdict as Contrary to the Law and Evidence, Motion for a New Trial, Motion for Remittitur, and Motion for Evidentiary Hearing. Defendants, Hyundai Motor Company and Hyundai Motor America, (collectively “Defendants”), asserted that the Plaintiffs’ evidence failed to support the jury’s verdict for $ 14,140,000 and, therefore, must be overturned with entry of final judgment for the Defendants or, in the alternative, a new trial.
