Plaintiff brought this action to recover the possession of a certain dredge used for the recovery of placer gold. The complaint was in two counts; the first in the form of an action in claim and delivery, and the second in the form of one to quiet title to personal property. (Secs. 9478.1 and 9478.2, Rev.
