OPINION OF THE COURT

CLEVENGER, Judge:

Pursuant to his pleas, appellant was convicted of a violation of a lawful general regulation and larceny of military property, in violation of Articles 92 and 121, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 892 and 921 [hereinafter UCMJ]. Contrary to his pleas, appellant was convicted by a general court-martial composed of officers and enlisted members of attempted premeditated murder (eighteen specifications), and premeditated murder, in violation of Articles 80 and 118, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. §§ 880 and 918.1 A unanimous twelve-member panel sentenced…
