In a trial without a jury in the Superior Court (Aroostook County), the trial justice found the defendant guilty of having committed the crime of Aggravated Assault, in violation of 17-A M.R.S.A. § 208(1)(C). 1 On appeal, the defendant contends that he should have been acquitted because the evidence was insufficient to prove one, or more, of the following essential elements: (1) that the victim sustained “bodily injury”; (2) that there were “circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life”; (3) that the defendant acted “intentionally,…
