MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

PRATT, District Judge.

Plaintiff Republic Credit Corporation (“Republic”) brought this action in diversity against Defendant John Ranee for payment on a promissory note. Mr. Ranee moves to dismiss due to defective service pursuant to Rule 12(b)(5) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, or in the alternative to quash service. In addition, Mr. Ranee moves to transfer for improper venue or to transfer for convenience pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1404(a).
