BILLINGS, Chief Judge.

Defendant Ronnie Dale Carroll was convicted of the forcible rape of his 70-year-old aunt. A jury trial was waived, and the court found defendant guilty and assessed punishment at 25 years imprisonment. In *49this appeal defendant contends the trial court erred in denying his motions for a continuance and for a hearing on his psychiatric examination. We reverse and remand the case to the circuit court for further proceedings to determine whether defendant was competent to stand trial. § 552.-020, RSMo 1973 Supp.
