1Opinion of the Court

SHANNON, Justice.

This appeal concerns Tex.Educ.Code Ann. § 21.031 (1975), which provides, in part, for a tuition-free public school education for children who are either citizens of the United States or “legally admitted aliens.” The issue is whether the enforcement of § 21.- 031 by the school district, as to these appellants, constituted a violation of the due process and equal protection clauses of the Constitutions of the United States and of the State of Texas. Because § 21.031 is constitutional, we will affirm the judgment of the district court of Travis County.
