This is a case removed to this Court on the basis of two federal claims pleaded in the plaintiff’s state court complaint, filed originally in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, Maryland. That complaint followed the plaintiff’s unsuccessful attempt, in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, to vacate a confessed judgment in the amount of some $8,000,000.00 entered against it at the behest of Maryland National Bank (MNB), in consequence of defaulted loans.
