The Grand Trunk Pacific Eailway Company is a corporation created, organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the Dominion of Canada. Prior to the shipment in question, that company was declared insolvent, and all of its property was taken over by the government of the Dominion of Canada, and under and pursuant to the laws of that country was placed in charge of John D. Beid as receiver, who as such receiver operated its railroad during all the time involved herein.
