This was an action brought in the district court of Muskogee county March 25, 1908, by R. P. de Graffenried against Louis and Peggie AVoodward to recover an undivided half interest in certain lands in that county. The property involved in the litigation is a half interest in the allotment of Agnes Hawes. Agnes Hawes was a full-blood' negro woman, enrolled on the rolls of the Creek Tribe as a Creek freedman. Louis AVoodward was her father and Peggy AVoodward her mother. I-Ier husband, Ratus Hawes, was not enrolled, and was neither citizen nor freedman of the Creek Nation.…
