As part of an action begun January 14, 1939, to recover for nursing services, plaintiff garnished in Minnesota a check drawn by the Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Company payable to defendant, a resident of Iowa, as one of the beneficiaries on the life of Peter B. Romelfanger, to whom plaintiff, allegedly, rendered the services in question at defendant's request. When garnished in Minnesota, the check was held by William Romelfanger, the insured's brother.…
