Miller, Chief Justice:

The defendant, Louis Avery Harris, Jr., was convicted by a jury in the Circuit Court of Barbour County in July 1977 of kidnapping for the purpose or with the intent of evading capture or arrest after he had committed a crime. The defendant states four primary grounds of error. First, he contends the trial court failed to conduct an in camera hearing to determine the admissibility into evidence of items seized from his automobile.
