On rehearing of this cause we are satisfied the original opinion correctly determined the issues on appeal. With certain modifications we have therefore adopted it as the opinion of this court.
The Southern Pacific Company appealed from a judgment of $8,259.25, which was rendered against it in a railroad crossing casualty which occurred in the town of Corning. The plaintiff was returning in the nighttime to her home from a restaurant which she conducted on the opposite side of the track. The crossing was unlighted and dark.
