The defendant, George W. Woodman, appeals from convictions of aggravated vehicular homicide, K.S.A. 1986 Supp. 21-3405a, and driving while under the influence of alcohol, K.S.A. 1986 Supp. 8-1567.
During the early morning hours of May 8, 1985, after visiting several night spots and friends throughout the preceding evening, the defendant and his friend, Richard Hamm, were on their way to see a mutual friend in Wichita, Kansas.
