On December 12, 2002, relator, Linda Smart, filed a petition for writ of mandamus complaining of the trial court’s setting aside an order prohibiting additional counsel and for granting a legislative continuance. Smart also filed a motion for temporary relief asking this Court to prevent respondent from taking any action that would hinder the matter going to trial on December 16, 2002.
