In this admiralty case, one of the defendants, Berryco Barge Lines, L.L.C., seeks summary judgment dismissing the claims asserted against it by the plaintiffs, Luis Limón, Manuel Olivarez, Jr., and Porfirio Montalvo, and by the defendant cross-claimants, Kaiser — Francis Oil Company; SL Production Company, L.L.C.; and Brammer Engineering, Inc. The plaintiffs and the cross-claimants allege that Berry-co is liable for injuries the plaintiffs sustained in an allision between a Berryco vessel on which they were passengers and an unlit barge.…
