OPINION

JUSTICE EAKIN.

Following a jury trial, appellant was convicted of first degree murder, third degree murder, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, abuse of corpse, aggravated assault, and criminal conspiracy. 1 On April 18, 2001, the jury determined the aggravating circumstances outweighed the mitigating circumstances and sentenced appellant to death. Appellant was also sentenced to one to two years imprisonment for abuse of corpse, a concurrent term of one month to two years for tampering, and one to two years for criminal conspiracy, to run consecutive to his death sentence.…
