BRITT, Justice.

By his first assignment of error defendant contends that the trial court erred in admitting opinion evidence that prints from his shoes were found in several areas of the Gold Hill Grocery for the reason that the evidence was elicited from a nonexpert witness. This assignment is without merit.

At trial, Deputy Sheriff Warren testified over objection that he observed several distinctive shoe prints in several aisles of decedent’s store. State’s exhibit number seven was identified by Officer Warren as a pair of shoes belonging to defendant, the shoes having been identified by…
