The defendant was indicted for manslaughter, was found guilty as charged, and was sentenced to be confined in the state penitentiary at hard labor for a period of five years.
[1,2] Defendant appealed, and relies for reversal on two bills of exception. One of these was taken to the action of the trial judge in permitting the district attorney to amend the indictment by inserting the words “West Feliciana” in the blanks in the body of the indictment.
