In the language of a friend of the writer of this opinion, who did not hesitate to coin a.word when his vocabulary failed to supply one, this case has- had “a vicissitudinarious career.” It has been before this Court three times.

The action is one for damages for personal injuries alleged to have been caused by the fall of a signboard suspended over the sidewalk in the Town of Darlington.
