Plaintiff began working as a New York City teaching fellow at PS 246 on March 1, 2004, under the supervision of its principal, Jackquelyn H. Young. Plaintiff alleges that around March 17, 2004, she complained to the manager of the NYC Teaching Fellows program that she was not receiving sufficient mentoring and lesson plan development and that the paraprofessional teaching assistant assigned to her class, Louisa Albritton, in dereliction of her duties, did not stay in the classroom with the students.
