A. Nature of Action
This civil in rem forfeiture action was tried by the Court without a jury on September 14, 15 and 29, 1987. Through this action, Plaintiff United States of America (hereinafter referred to as “Plaintiff”) seeks to forfeit approximately 2,507 canary-winged parakeets, known by their scientific name of brotogeris versicoloras.
