BROWN, District Judge.

Upon the petition for the writ of habeas corpus, alleging that the petitioner is unlawfully deprived of her liberty by William M. Clark, inspector in charge of the Immigration Service of the district of Providence, R. I., for the purpose of deportation, and that her imprisonment and detention is without any legal authority, because the petitioner is not an alien, but is a citizen of the United States by reason of being the wife of a duly naturalized citizen *569of the United States, and therefore not subject to deportation, the writ of habeas corpus was issued and the…
