ERROR TO THE SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. The facts, which involve the construction and constitutionality of the Citizenship Act of March 2, 1907, and the status as to citizenship óf a woman bom under the jurisdiction of the United States and married to a native of a foreign State but residing in the United States, are stated in the opinion. It was not the intention of Congress to deprive women remaining within jurisdiction of United States of citizenship.

Mandamus prosecuted by plaintiff in error as petitioner against defendants in error, respondents, as and composing the Board of Election Commissioners of the city and county of San Francisco, to compel her registration as a qualified voter of the city and county, in the appropriate precinct therein.

An alternative writ was issued but a permanent writ was denied upon demurrer to the petition.
