CLARK, Senior Circuit Judge:
Defendants Russell K. Baker Jr. and Roger L. Baker were convicted of mail fraud, money laundering, and related charges for their parts in a scheme to defraud their former employer, a corporate defense contractor, out of approximately one-half of a million dollars in commission payments. Defendants appeal their convictions and sentences. The government appeals one of the district court’s sentencing decisions, specifically, the district court’s grant of defendants’ requests for downward departures from the applicable sentencing guidelines ranges.
