Plaintiff Shannon Laymon (“Laymon”) brought this action on March 2, 2007 against defendant, Lobby House, her former employer alleging two counts under Title VII, hostile environment sexual harassment and retaliation. Trial was held from September 8, 2008 through September 11, 2008. The jury returned a verdict on September 12, 2008 in favor of Laymon awarding her compensatory damages of $500 for her hostile environment sexual harassment claim, $1,000 for her retaliation claim and $100,000 in punitive damages.
