Defendant pled guilty to charges of possession of stolen property over $100, MCL 750.535; MSA 28.803, and of being a third-time felony offender, MCL 769.11; MSA 28.1083, and was sentenced to serve a prison term of from twenty months to five years. On appeal, defendant argues that his convictions must be reversed because the trial court failed to find a satisfactory basis for defendant’s pleas as required by MCR 6.101(F)(3)(a).

Defendant preserved the issue for appeal by filing a motion to withdraw his pleas. MCR 6.101(F)(7)(a). Defendant’s motion was denied. The lower court record does not…
