The instrument on which this suit is founded, bears date the 21st of November 1808, and was executed as a deed of trust, or mortgage, for the purpose of conveying certain lands to Henry Dangeriield, by John McDonald, in trust, to secure the payment of the sum of $453.85, to William McGuire; giving the trustee, power to sell the land and pay the claim, provided it should not be paid, on or before the 21st of November 1811.
