This is a dispute between Utica Mutual Insurance Company (Utica) and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company (Liberty) over which company is liable for payments on a workers’ compensation claim. A judge of the Superior Court, after a trial without a jury, entered a judgment on Utica’s *263action against Liberty for declaratory relief under G. L. c. 231 A. The judgment declared that Liberty was obligated to reimburse Utica in the amount of $29,139.29 for Utica’s payments to the employee. We reverse the judgment.
