Hines, Justice.

James Scott Brewer appeals his conviction for malice murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Elbert Eugene “Butch” Smith, Jr. He challenges the sufficiency of the evidence, the admission of certain testimony, and the effectiveness of trial counsel. For the reasons which follow, the challenges are without merit, and we affirm.
