This case is before this Court upon a petition for a writ of prohibition filed by the Weirton Medical Center and Lawrence Callahan, M.D. (hereinafter “petitioners”), against the Honorable James Mazzone, Judge of the Circuit Court of Brooke County, and Rebecca Vilga, executor and fiduciary of the estate of Paul A. Vilga, Jr., deceased. The petitioners seek to prohibit the enforcement of evi-dentiary rulings issued by Judge Mazzone in December 2001 in the underlying wrongful death, medical malpractice action.
