The plaintiff brought this action to recover compensation for the drawing of plans for an apartment building. The trial to the court without a jury resulted in a judgment in his favor for the sum of $2,580, from which the defendant appeals.

The facts are these: The appellant was the owner of a lot on the southwest corner of Belmont avenue and Howell street, in the city of Seattle. The respondent was an architect practicing his profession in the same city.
