William Boyd & Bro., February 19, 1886, brought suit against Harris county for seven hundred and ninety-six dollars and sixty-one cents, the amount of two accounts representing the assessment against the court house block in the city of Houston.
The petition alleges that the city council of the city of Houston, in 1883, by virtue of its charter, and after proper proceedings in accordance therewith, awarded a contract to George A.
