Appellant, Thedford A. Huguley, was found guilty by the Municipal Court of Demopolis, Alabama, in three cases for negotiating worthless negotiable instruments in violation of §13A-9-13.1, Code of Alabama 1975. Appellant was sentenced to pay a fine of $100.00 and court costs of $22.00 in each case. She appealed to the Circuit Court of Marengo County, where the cases were consolidated and tried de novo before the circuit judge without a jury.
