The complainant filed his bill, under' the statute, in the court below, to quiet the title to certain uncultivated and wild lands in the borough of Norwood, in the county of Bergen. The case discloses that these lands had been conveyed to him by three separate deeds of bargain and sale, in May and September, 1914-, by Juliet 0. Smith, a resident of Kansas, for a valuable consideration, and that he neglected to put them on record in the Bergen county clerk’s office until the 19th day of April, 1918.
