POEEENBARGEK, JüDGE:

Three grounds of defense to this action of assumpsit based on two promissory notes for $400.00 each, purporting to have been executed by a husband and wife, were interposed, one negative and the other two affirmative; and the writ of error to the judgment proceeds largely upon the theory of insufficiency of the evidence to overcome the negative plea and sufficiency thereof to sustain each of the others. Upon these propositions among others, the defendants based their motion to set aside the verdict for $1,067.00, which the court overruled. Judgment was entered on the…
