On January 5, 1912, in the district court of Montgomery county, thé attorney-general commenced an action in quo warranto against the Independence Gas Company, The Consolidated Gas, Oil, and Manufacturing Company, and the Kansas Natural Gas Company; and, in the petition in, that action, chárged that the defendants had violated the antitrust statutes of the state.
