This is a writ of error and supersedeas to a judgment of the circuit court of Augusta county, rendered on the 7th day of June, 1876, on a motion made in said court by the Valley Railroad Company against Alexander H. H. Stuart. The motion was founded on a notice from the plaintiff to the defendant, that the former would “move said court for a judgment against the latter for the sum of $300, with interest on $150, part thereof, from the 1st day of October, 1871, and ou $150, the residue thereof, from the 3d day of November, 1873, till paid; being…
