1Opinion of the CourtAlice Robie Resnick, J.

*480{¶ 1} In this appeal, a portion of a school ■ district’s personal property tax revenue was misdirected to another school district due to the mistake of a taxpayer. The issue presented is whether a school district that fails to receive all of its revenue under its tax levy can proceed pursuant to a theory of unjust enrichment to recover from a school district that was credited with money it should not have received. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the judgment of the court of appeals that unjust-enrichment recovery is unavailable.
