Appellant, Billy Wayne Johnson, was charged, by five separate indictments, for the offenses of rape in the first degree, kidnapping in the first degree, robbery in the first degree, rape in the first degree, and kidnapping in the first degree. These indictments arose from two separate incidents: one in which appellant allegedly kidnapped, raped, and robbed Donna Sue Hodge, and the other in which appellant allegedly kidnapped and raped Jennifer Kay Mitchell.
