JOHNS, Circuit Judge.

[¶ 1.] Piper Jaffray, Inc. (Piper) and David Stevens (Stevens), appeal circuit court orders denying their joint motion to stay proceedings and compel arbitration in an action filed by David Dinsmore (Dinsmore).

[¶ 2.] We reverse and remand.

FACTS

[¶ 3.] In 1988, because of his prior experience with securities brokers and pre-dispute arbitration provisions, Dinsmore searched for a securities brokerage firm that would consent to an account agreement without an arbitration clause.
