Quatre Parish Company, Inc., claiming ownership of the S% of the SEJ4 and the S% of the SW^, Section 19, T. 6 S., R. 8 W. of Beauregard Parish, seeks damages *596in the sum of $6362.43 against Beauregard Parish School Board and Gross & Janes Company as a consequence of the alleged illegal cutting and removal of timber from the property by defendants.1 The defendants admit the cutting of timber by Gross & Janes Company but deny the trespass, asserting that the School Board is the true owner of the land and, as such, has rightfully sold the timber thereon to Gross & Janes Company.…
