Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Otsego County (Coccoma, J.), rendered December 4, 2000, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crimes of sexual abuse in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child.

A four-count indictment charged defendant with rape in the first degree, sodomy in the first degree, sexual abuse in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child, all arising out of defendant’s sexual contact with a three-year-old girl on *706January 8, 2000.
