STEELMAN, Judge.

Defendant, Steven Mark Finney, appeals a conviction of first-degree rape. He sets forth three assignments of error. For the reasons discussed herein, we find no error.

The State’s evidence tends to show the following: After midnight on 23 November 2000, Virginia Finney (Finney), wife of defendant, was preparing Thanksgiving dinner when defendant came home, demanding that she make him dinner. Defendant was drunk. Finney told defendant he could not eat what she had prepared for Thanksgiving. Defendant threw the food on the floor and slammed Finney’s head against a cabinet. He…
