PAUL L. FRIEDMAN, District Judge.

Tyrone W. Gloster was indicted for the possession of a loaded Ruger 9mm semiautomatic pistol, having previously been convicted of a felony in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g). He was arraigned before this Court on June 12, 1997. At the time of his arrest he was on probation for the commission of another offense — conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine — of which he was convicted in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
