This is a libel in personam for damages brought under section 33 of the Merchant Marine Act of 1920 (46 USCA § 688), libelant claiming that the respondent, the Ore Steamship Company, is liable for injuries received as first assistant engineer on the Steamship Mangore while lying in the port of Baltimore, caused by a small piece of metal entering and blinding his left eye, which occurred while he was in the act of removing a set screw with a chisel which he had been ordered to do by the chief engineer of the vessel.
