This case comes to the Court following a labor arbitration award issued in favor of a public employee union representing firefighters (the “Union”) employed by the Fire Department of the City of Newton (the “City”). Presented for decision are cross motions, dispositive in nature. The Union seeks to confirm the Arbitrator’s Award in accordance with G.L.c. 150C, Sec. 10.
