FLETCHER, Circuit Judge:

William Paul Scott appeals, his conviction on six counts of unauthorized sale of government property, 18 U.S.C. § 641 (1982). 1 We affirm.

BACKGROUND

This conviction arose out of a sting operation conducted by the FBI and the Naval Investigative Service that attempted to address the problem of missing equipment at the Marine Corps base at Camp Pendleton, California. The agents conducting the operation opened an undercover store known as Golden State Surplus (GSS) and advertised their willingness to purchase military-equipment.
