11 On July 12, 2012, N.F., a juvenile, was charged by petition with the aggravated rape of D.W. (age 3), a violation of La.R.S. 14:42. N.F. denied the allegations in the petition. After a hearing, the trial court denied N.F.’s motion to suppress his statements to the police and to the Department of Children and Family Services. On December 13 and 14, 2012, the trial court heard evidence and agreed to leave the record open until January 8, 2013, for the testimony of Dr. Daniel Lonowski.
