NEELY, Justice:

A jury convicted Marvin John Thomas of murder in the first degree, sexual assault in the first degree and abduction. Mr. Thomas now appeals, and we reverse and remand.

On 28 November 1986, Janet Miller, the victim of the alleged crimes, appeared in Parkersburg to visit her boyfriend Jeffrey Mosier. 1 Ms. Miller went to the Player’s Club, where she found Mr. Mosier and they argued.
